Cycling UK – campaigns away day

Cycling UK, the national cycling charity, asked me to devise and run an awayday to help it plan its campaigning strategy in the year ahead.

The participants were a diverse group from across the organisation, and we wanted to give everyone the chance to stand back from their daily roles and have some space to think strategically, creatively and most importantly together, about what Cycling UK’s campaigning priorities should be and how to most effectively deliver them. The day was fun, practical and participative – with lots of interesting new ideas bubbling up.

The day proved to be a great success – not only in nailing down some focussed priorities for Cycling UK’s campaigns, but also in giving a group of people who wouldn’t normally work together the chance to collaborate and feel part of a bigger team.

“Big thanks for ‘herding’ us through today. We’re really pleased with how it went and it gives us a real team feel going forward.”

Matt Mallinder, Membership Director, Cycling UK
